Puzzle Island Help

Below is some game help and hints for Puzzle Island. For the best play experience you shouldn't read this unless you're truly stuck! A good place to look first is to click the "Help/Hints" button on the status screen from within the game.

Stuck in elemental code. Everytime I hit the rectangular bar, the game resets back to the map.

That is the puzzle within a puzzle :) Getting through the adventure mode is not a straight shot through each puzzle.

Right before going back to the map, you should be getting a dialog box that actually tells you the problem. So, now that your "character" knows what he or she needs, go back (i.e. solve again) the puzzle the dialog box is telling you to visit.

Can't see numbers in the quicksand puzzle.

There is an item you need before you can see the numbers. The puzzle that gives you this item will need to be solved more than once before you will be "awarded" the item.

If you have only seen seven puzzles total, counting the quicksand puzzle then you should read hint number 2 from the status screen page (click the help/hint button to read them). In this case there is one puzzle that needs to be solved from three directions and you've only solved it in two.

Can't get the inoperable device operating.

There is another item that you will need before this will operate. See the second part of the previous answer.

Stuck in Curious Caverns.

How to answer this one? Unlike the others, this puzzle is actually more about figuring out what you're supposed to do.

WARNING: If you haven't reached the cave you may not want to read any further!

If you were given the option to pick something up (and did) then you just have to find your way back out. In one sense, just do the reverse of what got you "sealed" in.

If you have found "something" but can't get past the new door: In a sense you need to crack the door's passcode. You have four digits and a tile that you can think of as an "enter" key (like on some real-life passcode panels). Use the resulting "feedback" lights (or lack of lights) to figure out the code. What each light means is actually determined randomly each time you play the puzzle, so you'll need to discover that out for yourself.
