Frequently Asked Questions
- Installing One of Our Applications
All of our software is delivered via a compressed disk image. Therefore, to install our products is very simple. After downloading the disk image, mearly:
- If the application that you used to download one of our products didn't automatically mount the disk image for you then you'll need to find the downloaded file and double click it;
- Read the software license agreement and click "agree" (of course do so only if you in fact agree to the terms).
- Wait for the disk image to de-compress and fully mount.
- Drag the application icon to the alias of your Applications folder that is conveniently next to the application's icon or drag the application to wherever else on your computer you want the application to live.
- Remove, eject, trash or unmount (however you prefer to think of it) the disk image.
- You can then trash the disk image file or move/save it to a backup location/disk/CD/DVD.
- That's all there is to it.
- How To Register
You'll need to first buy a license from our secure online store, https://store.kingdom-era.com.
All of our software requires that you be connected to the internet during the registration process. Once you are sure you are connected, you can go to "Register <this application>..." in the application menu and enter the name/ID you used when you were buying your license. Then enter your license code that was sent to your email address. Note that these must be entered exactly and that case does matter! Make sure that you are entering the correct code into the correct application and not a Puzzle Island code into DMG Designs, for example.
It is usually best if you just copy and paste your name/ID and license code from the email into the appropriate fields in the registration dialog.
- What to do if You Lost Your License Code
Login to your account on our store site at https://store.kingdom-era.com with your email address and password you used to setup your store account (the login link in near the top right of the page, underneath our purple header).
When successfully logged into your account, click on the "My Account" link and there you will see some options, one of which will let you see all of your current license codes. Since your login name is your email address, it is a good idea to keep your email address with us current, so you can gain access to this feature.
- Releasing License Code
Your license code will only work on a set number of computers (how many depends on which license type you bought). To ensure that you don't end up in a situation where your code no longer works, always release licenses on machines you are no longer going to be using.
Launch the application and in the application menu, choose "Manage License..." and there, you'll see an option that will let you release the license. When you do the copy on that machine will revert back to an unregistered copy and you'll be able to use that license code on another machine.
- Bug Reporting
If you don't find the answer to your current issue in the forum, then post to an appropriate support forum or contact Technical Support with your concerns. The best way to reach technical support is to email support@kingdom-era.com
Regardless of your contact method: when describing a bug or error please include the product name and do your best to describe what you were trying to do and what you did when the error occurred. Also let us know what version of the Mac OS you are using and what processor (Intel or PowerPC) it is running on. You can find out all of that information by choosing the "About This Mac" in the Apple menu.

- A detailed description of the feature you would like (we can't implement it if we don't know exactly what you want), and
- Why you want this feature (understanding how people use our software is vitally important to being able to fully develop and design each product).
